Connect Stripe

Connecting Stripe is the first thing you do in RewardSpring. It is what makes commissions and rewards accurate — they are based on your real Stripe subscription and payment events, not on clicks or guesses.

Before you start

• A Stripe account for the SaaS product you want to run a program for.
• Founder access to your RewardSpring workspace.

You do not need to copy any Stripe secret keys. RewardSpring uses Stripe Connect, so nothing sensitive is ever pasted into a form or exposed to your browser.

Step 1 — Open the Stripe connection

From your dashboard, the primary action on a new workspace is Connect Stripe. Click it to begin.

Step 2 — Authorize with Stripe Connect

You will be redirected to Stripe to authorize RewardSpring. Confirm you are connecting the correct account, then approve. Stripe sends you back to RewardSpring and we store your connected account ID securely.

Step 3 — Confirm the connection

Back in RewardSpring, your dashboard shows a Stripe connection card. When it reads connected, RewardSpring is receiving your Stripe events.

Behind the scenes we:

• verify Stripe webhook signatures,
• store raw event payloads,
• and process events idempotently,

so a conversion always maps to a real paid invoice, and duplicate events never double-count.

What gets tracked

Once connected, RewardSpring can attribute:

• paid conversions to the partner or customer who referred them,
• recurring commissions across the lifetime (or a fixed number of months) of a subscription,
• and reversals when a payment is refunded or a subscription churns inside your holding period.

Troubleshooting

• Connection card still says “not connected”: return to the connect flow and make sure you approved the correct Stripe account.
• No conversions appearing: confirm a referred customer has actually paid an invoice — signups alone do not create commissions.
• Wrong account connected: disconnect and reconnect with the correct Stripe account.
